Baked Oatmeal
Stove top oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts but baked just brings it to a whole new level!
The Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 banana (1/4 in mix, 1/4 topping)
- 1/4 cup chocolate soy milk
- 1/8 cup water
- Cinnamon
- 1/4 T baking powder
- 12 grams Almond Butter
- 2/3 T chocolate morsels
- 12g chopped walnuts
- Sugar Free Syrup (optional)
Combine dry ingredients: Oats, cinnamon, baking powder
Combine wet ingredients: Smash 1/4 of the banana, milk, water
Add dry to wet and put in oven at 375° for around 20-25 minutes. Remove and add rest of chopped banana, and chocolate chips. I added a little cinnamon on top of the banana. Place back in oven for another 10 minutes.
I always toast my walnuts in the microwave and give them about 40 seconds. This gives them a nutty flavor and brings out the taste. Any longer and it’ll smell like crispy popcorn (not pleasant).
Take out oats from oven, add walnuts on top and drizzle with SF syrup for perfect baked oatmeal.
