Honey Nut Oats

Simple, delicious oats that any honey fan will love. Although I am a huge advocate of nut butters in oats, honey is the exception.

The ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of Quaker Oats
  • 1/2 banana (1/4 mix, 1/4 topping)
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 grams flax
  • 12 grams chopped walnuts
  • Handful of Teddy Grahams
  • 17 grams of honey
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • Plenty cinnamon

Boil the oats and water. When the oats start to bubble turn the heat on medium and add the cinnamon and chopped 1/4 banana. Stir vigorously to whip banana into the oats. Add vanilla and flax. Keep whipping until everything is incorporated and well mixed.

In the meanwhile toast walnuts in microwave for 45 seconds. While letting the walnuts cool, place rest of sliced banana on a plate, sprinkle cinnamon and microwave for 30 seconds. Remove oats from stove and place in decorative bowl and add toppings. Drizzle with honey and devour!
