Hi friends! Life has completely changed for me in these past few days. As most of you already know or don’t (my new readers) I got into Physician Assistant school and started orientation on Friday. It has just been a lot of material to take in and to really digest.
On a more whimsical note I went to a friend’s bridal shower and totally forgot to show you pictures!
All us girls had a fun time playing games and just enjoying each other’s company.
On a more serious note, I was pretty much bombarded with class times and exam dates. It is going to be one hell of a semester. My classes for the Fall semester include:
Pharmacology 1, Anatomy with lab, Physiology, Physical Diagnosis 1 with lab, Microbiology, and PA Role. Yikes!!
Since we have to bring our laptops to class everyday I figured I’d trade my Toshiba for something a little lighter and more modern…
I am in love with my MacBook Air!! Light as a feather and perfect for travel. I’m an Apple girl now
(And yes my desktop are cupcakes, I am a foodie after all)
The bad news unfortunately affects my blog. I don’t want to just end Fit Girl Foodie because I love to blog and it will always be a part of me but my posts will definitely be affected and limited. I will still be reading your blogs even though I might not actively comment and will still be on Twitter. Please still be my friend!! I love you all =)
Did the title confuse you? I hope not! Instead of doing a WIAW, I will be doing a What I Wish I Ate Wednesday. Nothing I have eaten has been blog worthy so I figured I’d post up some noms that I would have loved to be munching today
Link up with Jenn and post your eats!
For breakfast I would have…
Ari’s phenomenal Sundae Pancakes W/ Chocolate Sauce
Do these babies not look drool worthy??! Yummoooo
For lunch I wish I had this…
Leanne’s Chicken Marinara Melt
She even has a recipe for homemade fresh marinara sauce. I am loving the pepperoni with all the cheese
As if I wasn’t already having a fabulous day I would have this for dinner…
Kelly’s Honey Chicken Stir Fry
I love asian inspired dishes and a stir fry is one my all time favorite go to meals.
The day isn’t over without a perfect dessert right? Well I have just the one!
Does this little treat not just make you want to reach into the computer and grab it? I wish I had it right in front of me!
This is Amanda’s No-bake Chocolate Cheesecake Bites
The ideal meal finale to a great eating day
- Any blogger recipes that you have been waiting to have?
Hi friends! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend because we are back to another manic Monday.
I found an interesting article that caught my attention so I figured I’d share it with all my bloggy friends
You can find the original article here
Kellogg’s and WebMd report that sugar is good for you.
“A panel of world health experts recently reviewed the scientific evidence and concluded that a high sugar intake is not related to the development of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or cancer.
Sugar was also not connected to behavioural problems like hyperactivity in children.2-3 As well as this, the panel did emphasise the beneficial role that carbohydrates like sugars play in health.
Children do have different needs to adults, so they have different Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) for sugar. But not as different as you might think.
Because they are active and growing, children are not vastly different to the “average person” used on the front of the pack. In fact, for sugar, it is very similar indeed.”
Obviously if you look through the products sold by Kellogg’s you can see how nutritional their products are…
Hmm yea, definitely what kids should be eating…
Let’s look at the ingredients in the innocent Pop Tart:

Kellogg needs to keep their priorities in order and stop sending out the wrong message to parents.
- What do you think about this article?
I’m joining the party a little late, but better late than never right?
If you haven’t link up with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons, do it right now and post all those yummy treats
Lunch was an unpictured boring sandwich with turkey and cheese
Salmon Burger with zucchini, mushrooms, and cashews, topped with sesame seeds and some sriracha for design
Are you a donut fan? What’s your favorite flavor? I’m all about the sprinkles!
WIAW has really taken off and I’m amazed at how many bloggers are posting up their eats each week. It’s great to see what you all love to eat
For lunch my fantastic boyfriend took me out for a lunch date. It was time for Sushi!!!
Then there was this
If 2 rolls aren’t enough we also got…
If I said it ended there I would be lying…. We got one more roll for good luck. A Spider Roll was also consumed and I must say it was my favorite!
Leftovers? Nope, not here.
After sushi we hit the movies to catch Cowboys and Aliens. I wasn’t a fan but Frankie loved it.
Then we stopped by the Daily Plate because Frankie needed some Shwarma seasoning. He got a falafel sammich and 3 extra falafels because I had never had one!!! It was amazeballs
We also got 3 Kibbeh’s. Omgggg so good, I am hooked!!! When I said I ate a lot over the weekend I did not lie lol
Well there you have it!
- Best thing you ate all week?
Happy Monday!! Hope everyone had a fun weekend with friends and family. I know I did! Let me just say that A LOT of food was consumed in these past 3 days… My stomach is still trying to recuperate
Saturday night was my cousin’s wedding and I was prepared to have a fabulous time.
The gorgeous bride
I couldn’t just not take pictures of all the fabulous munchies right? I owe it to my readers!
Now if you think the eating ended there you are very wrong… After the wedding the boy and I went to Denny’s for some late night munching. He had a bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries (which I stole) and I had an Oreo sundae…What else?! There’s my weekend for you all
- Did you do anything fun this weekend?!
This post is way overdue but better late then never right?
Last Friday, me and my best friends attended the Britney Spears Femme Fatale concert. It was a spectacular event! Nicki Minaj was the opening act followed by the fabulous Ms. Britney.
I had such a great time
