What a Long Break

Worst blogger award goes to me  Since my last post, school has completely taken over my life and I really have had no time to do anything else. Luckily Spring Break starts on Monday so my brain is already on relaxation and fun mode. Other than school I really have not been up to much. Studying, doing physicals, and taking histories have been my life but I knew what I was signing up for Winking smile

Today we had kids to play with and do physicals on. They are definitely a handful!! I’m just trying to take everything in day by day and not get so completely overwhelmed even though it’s definitely easier said than done.

Breakfast for today!

Oats mixed in with almond butter, yogurt, 1/2 banana, Honey Bunches of Oats cereal with Strawberries and almond milk! The swirly thing on top is sugar free maple syrup

These are some recent pictures from my birthday which was a few weeks ago.

The big 2-3! Smile

 Frankie and Me
And of course we have the noms
Dragon Roll!! It was AMAZING

One can never get enough sushi Winking smile

My wonderful friends from PA school made me monkey bread cupcakes!!!

It was definitely more delicious than any cake I could have eaten. My friends know me too well

Well that’s pretty much it! I’ll be sure to post here and then since I have plenty of free time now. Smile

  • When is your spring break?! What are you planning on doing?   Sun and rest are definitely involved in mine!!

It’s Another WIAW!

Hi peeps!! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means right? Another great installment of WIAW Smile

If you haven’t linked up with the fabulous Jenn over at Peas and Crayons do it fast and post all your nomtastic eats!

Peas and CrayonsFirst we start the day off with breakki! [aka my favorite meal of the day]

In my little white bowl I made cookie dough cereal courtesy of Gina. I topped it with 1/2 nanner, some nilla yogurt, almond milk, and Kashi Go Crunch! Yummm

This seems to hold me over longer than just cereal but definitely no where near oatmeal!

Lunch was the boyfriend’s new creation

Green bean casserole made with fage, mozzarella cheese, and ketchup. He placed it in the oven until the cheese was all nice and melted. Nom! Alongside was seasoned chicken for protein.

For dinner it was a friend’s birthday so we went to the Cheesecake Factory. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Salad.

Again another picture taken incognito Winking smile

It was pretty tasty, nothing extravagant. I was expecting some cheesecake but everyone was too stuffed….

So I made my own little dessert when I got home

Fage with cinnamon, mixed with bloobs, Kashi, Walden Farms Caramel Dip and a dollop of reddi-whip

This little treat hit the spot.

There you have it bloggies! My fabulous WIAW eats.

  • Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, what’s your favorite?!

Cheerios and a Fashion Show

Hello loves!!!

I have missed you all so much, sorry for being so MIA. I’ve honestly been taking a little time to myself and it feels great. Smile

Only one more month left until classes start!! Well this past week has definitely been exciting. I am on a serious Cheerios kick and I love it.

Too bad it keeps my tummy satisfied for about 2 hours before my stomach is growling for more.

I’m totally having a lazy Sunday today. It is so fugly outside!! The rain is ridiculous.

I did do something fun and exciting on Wednesday. I went to my first ever Fashion Show! One of my great friends works for a TV network and got VIP passes to attend Splashion at the Fountainbleu resort. It was for Miami Swim Week and us girls definitely got pampered with goody bags galore.

Everything was beautiful and the music was great. I wish I could buy all these snazzy little pieces without breaking bank! Winking smile

Dressed for the event!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and ending the week on a great note.

  • Have you been to fashion show before?

First July [WIAW]

Hope everyone had a fun filled 4th of July. I got to see lots of these

It was a lot of fun to be with my family and hang out watching the gorgeous fireworks.

Today is another installment of WIAW!

Peas and CrayonsLink up with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons and post your noms

The best meal of the day begins with breakfast!

Cinnamon Burst Cheerios, strawberries, and yogurt drenched in almond milk Smile

Lunch took me back to my childhood

My dad made me a malanga porridge. When I was little or sick my dad would make this for me. It was delicious, I think the butter does the trick Winking smile

Dinner was especially unique! After showing my boyfriend this awesome spiralizer online, he bought one and we made raw zucchini. I’m convinced you don’t need to cook zucchini after I tasted this!

Raw zucchini with grilled chicken topped with pasta sauce and parmesan. Always need a good amount of cheese

I never show my night time desserts because I’m too lazy to photograph at night but what the hell, I’ll show you

This is pretty much a daily ritual. Cottage cheese, yogurt, strawberries, chocolate cheerios, Emerald cocoa roasted almonds, honey, and peanut butter. It was win peeps…Down to the last bite!

Well there you have it. I know you all ate some way tasty treats this past weekend with the holiday and all.

So do tell, what was the best thing you ate all weekend? Smile

Weekend Recap

Hi there!! Hope you all had a great weekend. I know I did, although I would have been happier had the Miami Heat actually won last night Oh well can’t win them all…

Friday night I went out with my girlfriends to watch is was funny but definitely not as good as part 1. I thought they were trying too hard to make it like the original.

After the movie, me and the girls went to our usual hangout spot (Denny’s!!!) to have some late night munching. There’s a pretty good chance on any given Friday or Saturday night that you’ll find me at Denny’s after midnight. Usually polishing off one of these…

When I say I can finish off an entire Oreo sundae, I mean it people Winking smile

Saturday morning I was up early at 8am to hit up Zumba and get my dance on. I love when exercising doesn’t feel like working out. It was a lot of fun but I was ready for breakfast when I got home.

I had some cereal Surprised smile Don’t get me wrong, I love my oats but it’s just way too hot!! And to be honest I’ve gotten lazy in making them lol

Cinnamon Burst Cheerios with sliced strawberries, yogurt, cottage cheese, 1/2 nanner somewhere in there and topped with milk New obsession? You betcha!

Saturday night I went bowling with my friends and my skills were lacking to say the least. A lot of gutter balls and failed attempts. Still fun to get out of the house and do something different.

Well there you have it peeps! My weekend recap Smile

Have you seen The Hangover 2? Love it/hate it? Sequels are hardly ever better than the original

Peas and Crayons

First up is breakfast!

Made a Fitnessista cookie dough breakfast topped with yogurt, sliced nanner, Kashi Berry Crisp, and almond milk

For lunch, I went with my mom to my cousin’s bridal shower at a fancy restaurant. It was gorgeousss and rented out for all the girls.

Me and my mom Smile

For our appetizer we had a delicious salad

For the main course we had a choice of either chicken, Mahi Mahi or Churrasco. I went with the chicken

The chicken breast was the size of my head…Way too big. The sides were incredible; mashed potatoes and green beans! Yumm

This was the cute table decoration that I got to take home

It’s still in my room Smile

For dessert we had the cutest cupcakes ever

Super adorable tiny cupcakes (everything is prettier when it’s bite size)

There you have it friends! My fabulous WIAW eats.

Do you prefer bite sized foods?

And now I’ll indulge you in the second half of my foodie survey

L is for Lunch, what was yours today?

I haven’t had lunch yet but I will tell you about my lunch from yesterday. I had a pasta salad with feta cheese and chicken covered in light Italian dressing. It was delicious.

M: is for Microwave, what is your favorite microwave meal/snack?

I love making Ashley’s oat cake in the microwave

Easy, fast, and super delicious!

N: is for nutrients, do you like carbs, fats, or proteins best?

This is an easy one. I’m a fats lover all the way!

Give me the peanut butter please

Cinnamon raisin swirl=

O: is for Oil, what kind do you like to use?

I always use extra virgin olive oil for cooking.

P: is for Protein, how do you gets yours?

I get in a lot of protein. Whether it’s in the form of chicken, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, or my delicious fro-yo!

Who wouldn’t like to eat this for protein? Winking smile

Q: is for Quaker, how do you like your oats?

This is an easy one. I love my oats hot, cold, and every way in between.

R: is for Roasting, what is your favorite thing to roast?

Veggies! And lots of them. I love roasting up asparagus or potatoes

S: is for Sandwich, what’s your favorite kind?

When it comes to sammies, I’m pretty boring. I either do a classic turkey and cheese combo or I do a spin off of breakfast and do an egg, cheese, and sausage sammie.

T: is for Travel, how do you handle eating while traveling?

It all depends on where I’m going but usually I tend to indulge. How often to do you get to travel? When I went on my last cruise I did choose the more calorie friendly options but I had my ice cream and my decadent tropical drinks Winking smile

The bf and I at Key West (May 2010)

U: is for Unique, what is one of your weirdest food combos?

All of my food combos are weird in one way or another. One time I was eating a waffle sandwich with ham and cheese covered in syrup and my friends thought I was disgusting….Don’t they sell this stuff at like Dunkin Donuts?? I didn’t think I was that weird…

V: is for Vitamins, what kind do you take?

I take Centrum chewables Smile

W: is for Wasabi, yay or nay?

X: is for Xtra special, what food holds a special place in your heart?

I definitely have a soft spot for oreos could anyone not??!

Y: is for Yogurt, you can only afford 1 cup, what kind do you purchase?…

Eek this one is hard because I love yogurt! I’m going to say Dannon Light and Fit. ❤ the stuff

Z: is for Zero guilt, what food can you enjoy over and over without any guilt?

If I plan on overindulging then any food that I eat I consider to be guilt free. I love to make fro-yo at home because I can control what goes into it so it’s never “guilty” but sometimes you need the naughty toppings.

Love Menchies

There you have it! My full survey. Now tell me…

What special food holds a spot in your heart?
