Happy Friday!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. I’m having quite the writer’s block so I decided to do a survey that has been going around the blog world.
Let’s get started peeps!
A: is for Apple, what’s your favorite variety?
I’m not really into apples, I gotta be honest. I know you all love your apples dipped in peanut butter but I’m not really a fan. If I had to choose I would pick Golden Delicious.
B: is for Bread, regardless of nutrition, calories, or whole grains what is your favorite type to have a nice big piece of?
I love bread. I went a long time without eating it when I use to think that carbs=evil. Glad I know better now. There’s just something about cinnamon raisin bread that owns my heart.
C: is for Cereal what is your favorite kind currently (just one!)
Wow this is a tough one. I love all kinds of cereal but as of recently I’ve been pretty addicted to Cheerios. Not just any kind of cheerios…Chocolate Cheerios! Today I had Cinnamon Burst for the first time and I fell in love.
D: is for Doughnuts, you might not currently be eating them but what kind do you fancy?
When it comes to sweet treats I’m like a 7 year old. I want it covered with vanilla frosting and sprinkles galore!
Btw today is National Donut Day, so hit up your Dunkin Donuts for a free donut with the purchase of a drink. Nommm
E: is for Eggs, how would you like yours prepared?
I’m a big lover of eggs over easy.
F: is for Fat Free, what is your favorite fat free product?
Hmm I use to live off the fat free goods back in the day. Now I say bring me the peanut butter!! But there are some fat free foods I fancy. I love fat free refried beans in burritos and yummy veggies.
G: is for Groceries, where do you purchase yours at?
I wish I had a Trader Joes by me but I don’t. I shop at Publix, Winn Dixie, and the occasional Wally World (Walmart).
I also like Costco when I’m running low on nut butters and need to stock up!
H: is for Hot Beverages, what is your favorite hot drink?
This is an easy one. Coffee!!! I love it. Must have my daily cup in the morning to get my motor running.
I hate to say I’m addicted but I kind of am lol
I’m all about the french vanilla roast. Yumm!
I: is for Ice Cream, pick a favorite flavor and add a fun topping.
Since most of you know about my obsession with all things oreo related it’s no suprise my favorite ice cream is Cookies and Cream!
J: is for Jams or Jellies, do you eat them, and if so what kind and flavor?
Of course I eat them! My favorite is apricot, especially over my warm oats.
K: is for Kashi, name your favorite Kashi product?
I love Kashi cereals, so much healthier than all those processed brands. My favorites are Berry Crisp and Honey Sunshine.

Hope all of you are having a most wonderful Saturday, unlike me who had to wake up at 7 for an 8:30am class 😦 The professor didn’t get there till 9 because of an accident on the highway. After class which was 11:20, I drove my butt to Miami Beach to visit the Apple Store once again….And it was packed, once again…I had made an appointment for 12:40 and ended up getting there an hour earlier figuring they could squeeze me in early, I was wrong. I waited till my actual appointment time. Gahh I hate waiting especially when they hardly helped me with my phone issues.
Well no more sappy stories, on to the eats!
This was breakfast from Thursday
My favorite combo: chocolate nanner oats,
with peanuts, graham crackers, chia seeds, chocolate morsels, and cinnamon swirl pb on top.
A breakfast like this guarantees an awesome day 🙂
Yesterday turned out to be a great night. I went to my boyfriend’s sisters house (who is practically my sister) for dinner. She made delicious chicken sammies for us, and let’s just say I was not disappointed. They were so simple to make that I wondered why in the world haven’t I made these before!!
They were huge!!! I really thought I was eating out, they tasted spectacular. I need to make these asap. I learned her trick was deglazing the pan, I’ve never done that before and it made a huge difference in the flavor.
If you think dinner is the star of this post, wait until you see dessert! We went to Menchies for some serious fro-yo
All these were mine…Lol kidding! Mine was the one on the Right. Can you say amazing?! Omg I was in froyo heaven 😀
I had a mixture of yogurt: Cookies & Cream/ Cheesecake ( I couldn’t pick one), with strawberries, chocolate syrup, peanut butter syrup, peanut butter morsels, oreo chunks, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles. Yes I know I went a little overboard lol Let’s just say it was a cheat and call it a day 😉
Perfect way to end a great Friday night with friends, or should I say family.

Us foodies know better 😉
But I was even more excited because I recently purchased Chia Seeds off Amazon and they arrived yesterday to my house!! I’ve never had chia seeds in my oats and after seeing so many bloggers use them to spruce up their overnight oatmeal I knew they had to be in my possession. Luckily my thoughtful boyfriend had given me an almost empty nut butter jar so I knew exactly how to put it to good use 😉
Last night I made my mixture and this morning I woke up to this
Let me just say that chia seeds really do make a difference in texture. Last time I made them I used Fage which really helps to thicken the oats but when I ran out I noticed that regular yogurt really doesn’t work the same. It has a more liquid texture which I wasn’t too fond of.
In my overnight mix I used:
30 grams of oats, 1/4 cup chocolate silk milk, 2.65 ounces of Dannon Light & Fit, 9g chia seeds, 1/2 banana, cinnamon, and about 15g of Naturally More pb that was in the jar.
This morning I topped it with half a pack of 100 calories shortbread cookies, 10 g of Cinnamon Oat Crunch cereal, some bloobs, and 1/2 T chocolate morsels.
Amazing? Yes, yes it was 🙂 And very filling! I really didn’t notice the difference from when I used my greek yogurt but in regards to regular yogurt it made a big difference, so if you are using plain ol yogurt then go for the chia!!
Lunch was simple, nothing crazy 😉
I keep thinking its Saturday for some reason because I’m just relaxing with the boyfriend
studying about to start studying the upper limbs of the body.
