More Foodie ABC’s

06/06/2011 at 1:07 pm 70 comments

Hi bloggies!!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I did Smile  I went to my cousin’s bridal shower (pictures will be up later), saw X-Men:First Class [If you haven’t seen it, watch it!!], and got to eat s’mores for the first time.

And now I’ll indulge you in the second half of my foodie survey

L is for Lunch, what was yours today?

I haven’t had lunch yet but I will tell you about my lunch from yesterday. I had a pasta salad with feta cheese and chicken covered in light Italian dressing. It was delicious.

M: is for Microwave, what is your favorite microwave meal/snack?

I love making Ashley’s oat cake in the microwave

Easy, fast, and super delicious!

N: is for nutrients, do you like carbs, fats, or proteins best?

This is an easy one. I’m a fats lover all the way!

Give me the peanut butter please

Cinnamon raisin swirl=

O: is for Oil, what kind do you like to use?

I always use extra virgin olive oil for cooking.

P: is for Protein, how do you gets yours?

I get in a lot of protein. Whether it’s in the form of chicken, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, or my delicious fro-yo!

Who wouldn’t like to eat this for protein? Winking smile

Q: is for Quaker, how do you like your oats?

This is an easy one. I love my oats hot, cold, and every way in between.

Nomomom

R: is for Roasting, what is your favorite thing to roast?

Veggies! And lots of them. I love roasting up asparagus or potatoes

S: is for Sandwich, what’s your favorite kind?

When it comes to sammies, I’m pretty boring. I either do a classic turkey and cheese combo or I do a spin off of breakfast and do an egg, cheese, and sausage sammie.

T: is for Travel, how do you handle eating while traveling?

It all depends on where I’m going but usually I tend to indulge. How often to do you get to travel? When I went on my last cruise I did choose the more calorie friendly options but I had my ice cream and my decadent tropical drinks Winking smile

The bf and I at Key West (May 2010)

U: is for Unique, what is one of your weirdest food combos?

All of my food combos are weird in one way or another. One time I was eating a waffle sandwich with ham and cheese covered in syrup and my friends thought I was disgusting….Don’t they sell this stuff at like Dunkin Donuts?? I didn’t think I was that weird…

V: is for Vitamins, what kind do you take?

I take Centrum chewables Smile

W: is for Wasabi, yay or nay?

Omg I love me some wasabi. Yay all the way!!

X: is for Xtra special, what food holds a special place in your heart?

I definitely have a soft spot for oreos

https://i0.wp.com/www2.qsrmagazine.com/articles/features/110/graphics/oreo-full.jpgHow could anyone not??!

Y: is for Yogurt, you can only afford 1 cup, what kind do you purchase?…

Eek this one is hard because I love yogurt! I’m going to say Dannon Light and Fit. ❤ the stuff

Z: is for Zero guilt, what food can you enjoy over and over without any guilt?

If I plan on overindulging then any food that I eat I consider to be guilt free. I love to make fro-yo at home because I can control what goes into it so it’s never “guilty” but sometimes you need the naughty toppings.

Love Menchies

There you have it! My full survey. Now tell me…

What special food holds a spot in your heart?

Oreos and Snickers are definitely two foods that will always hold a “special” place. I hardly ever eat them but ommmgg they’re amazing. I’ve still been noshing on those Newman-O PB creme cookies, though…and I gotta say they’re better than the original Oreo in my opinion. 😛
