Memorial Weekend Fun

I’m back!!! Smile

Thank you guys so much for all the help and support in my last post. It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one who gets anxiety when I go on vacation. Overall I had a great time but the food situation left my body frazzled. I didn’t want to show up taking food of my own since they had bought so many things but I did bring Luna Bars and a few Special K bars in case I got the munchies. The Luna Bars really came in handy since I wasn’t getting enough protein. I’m happy to be back with a tan and a fridge full of veggies. The sad part is that this is what people eat everyday, my body needs foods with substance, not chips and dip.

My breakfast this morning tasted better than ever.

Overnight chocolate strawberry banana oats (Naked)

Sunshine Key was amazing. We went fishing, hit the beach, snorkeled, and saw this gorgeous sunset

It was great to spend time with my best friends for the whole weekend but I did miss my boyfriend, my bed, and my fridge! My body is kind of hating me right now so I’m gonna give it the love it needs and refuel it with lots of fruits, veggies, and whole grain foods. Zumba class really did me good this morning, I needed to work up a sweat. Smile

    I love working out after a long weekend like that. Sweating is sometimes the best therapy πŸ™‚

    Glad you had a good time and didn’t let the fact that you didn’t have YOUR food get to you too much!! Its good to be free sometimes and let your body indulge. Now its time to get back to that good stuff :):)

    Felt the same way after our trip to Ireland. I just stocked the fridge with an insane amount of fruit and veggies to make up for all the indulgence on vacation!

    I agree with you completely! My body can definitely tell when it is not getting enough nourishment. Isn’t that so weird that our bodies know that?! I start craving only things green and colorful and the thought of junk makes me sick. Glad you can get back to your routine πŸ™‚

    Im so glad to hear you had a good time and that you feel better. I think thats one of the best things about blogging…just all the amazing support and encouragement from others who are going through the same things. We are with ya hon!! Its good to give yourself a mental break from all the workouts and healthy eating. I think it does more for you then you think. Plus helps prevent burn out! So its all good!!

    It’s happened to me too many times where i’ve overindulged over the weekend and my body definitely shows the difference! I cannot understand how people eat like that everyday. After a few days of not eating right, I cannot go any longer and have to go back to eating healthy!

    P.S. You had a good time and that’s all that counts! After a few days of eating right and exercising you’ll feel as good as new!

    Welcome back, girlie! I know what you mean about being happy to be back to “normal” food. I used to live off junk food and now I have no idea how I managed it… if I don’t get my fruits and veggies in, I just start feeling tired and grumpy.

    I’m just wrapping up in my vacay and my healthy eating has gone out the window just a little, but I know I’ll be back on track in no time. The important thing is I’ve had FUN!

    Glad you had a good time, though it is pretty hard to have a bad time in the keys!!!! I was traveling last week and I know all too well what it feels like not to have your OWN refrigerator by your side.

    I’m happy you had a great time and you’re giving your body the time it needs to refuel. Sometimes when you don’t have control over the food it gives you anxiety, but what can you do other than enjoy it and wait until you get home πŸ™‚

    Glad you had a great weekend. My husband and I didn’t have any major plans. We did randomly decide to run a 5k yesterday, so that was fun.

    By the way, I love that you put yogurt pretzels on your oats. Fantastic idea! πŸ™‚

    I am so glad that you had such a good weekend. Although we didn’t do anything crazy this weekend I definitely know the feeling of wanting to get back on track with healthy habits. I’m sure that you will feel back to your usual self in no time.

    incognito pictures = story of my life. Especially when I’m out and about! I’m glad you had fun, I wish I got to go snorkeling over my memorial day weekend! I went on a picnic, which was lovely.

    I completely forgot about yogurt covered pretzels! I need to buy some and add it to my breakfast.

    That sunset is beautiful! Now that I eat pretty healthy, I’m always surprised by how people eat on a day-to-day basis- all the crap that they eat. It doesn’t seem to bother them- I guess our bodies adjust!

    Luna bars are lifesavers, aren’t they?! But it’s definitely easy to OD, especially when they’re your main source of protein…Glad you’re back home enjoying the foods you love!
