WIAW Easter Edition

04/27/2011 at 9:02 am 89 comments

Good morning bloggies!!ย

Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments regarding my boyfriend’s last post. Frankie was very happy about all the positive feedback you guys left him. I hope that if you had any workout questions that his post helped in any way and I’m always open to any other questions you’d want to ask ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I’m hopping on the bandwagon for another WIAW, Easter eatsย

Link up with me over at Peas & Crayons to show off your eats to everyone!

Peas and CrayonsFirst comes breakfast!!

Can’t go wrong with a bowl of chocolate nanner oats in the morning ๐Ÿ˜€

Topped with peanuts, cranberry granola, and cinnamon raisin pb

Then came my Easter lunch with the bf ๐Ÿ™‚ We He decided on stir-fry. Good idea!

Chicken with a whole lotta veggies, smothered in teriyaki sauce. It was a major win. I love anything Asian inspired, it tickles my taste buds https://i1.wp.com/th35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/lindsey_334/th_Smiley_wink.gif

Dinner was a matter of my choosing and darn it I wanted to make pesto! I’ve never had pesto before I know, please don’t shun me.

This was a modified verison of pesto made with basil leaves, olive oil, pine nuts, and a laughing cow wedge

It was AMAZING. So great over the chicken and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. Not exactly your typical Easter eats but I was not complaining.

There was no egg painting or hunting, and no eating of a chocolate bunny but I had something better…

My First Ever Cadbury Egg!!

My boyfriend is the bestย  It was magical…No it’s not an overstatement and I’m completely serious.

Well by now you know that I love getting a bit creative with my desserts so I paired this little egg with something else

Yes my friends, a cadbury egg with some strawberry home made fro-yo.

That is how I roll

Today is another workout day and I’m hoping to break some PR’s on my bench press and push up count!!

  • What was the best thing you ate on Easter? Anyone have their first ever cadbury egg like me? Do tell ๐Ÿ˜€

  • 23. Meri  |  04/27/2011 at 11:53 am

Homemade strawberry froyo sounds divine. Why is strawberry ice cream/ frozen yogurt so good? why? I just read on another blog about a Trader Joe’s coconut ice cream that comes in strawberry, might have to try that too so I can get the full range of options ๐Ÿ™‚
I don’t even eat chicken, but your pesto kabobs and stir fry both look really good!

    • 24. Jenny  |  04/29/2011 at 1:56 pm

I’ve simply got to make froyo. What is your recipe??

    • 63. Jenny  |  04/29/2011 at 2:01 pm

Easy Peasy. I used 18oz of Fage, 1.5 cups of frozen strawberries and about 1 cup of splenda. I used up a tiny bit of xanthan gum too but I don’t know if it was necessary.

  • 64. lindsay  |  04/27/2011 at 8:23 pm

oh wow, drooling! strawberry froyo and cadburry!! Its on!

  • 65. Kristie  |  04/27/2011 at 10:08 pm

First try of pesto AND cream eggs? This sure is your week for great new foods! I love both of those. Pesto made with laughing cow sounds pretty darn awesome to me! And I just had a mini cream egg today… my last one out of my easter stash. It was delicious. Though I sure wish I’d had some strawberry fro yo to go with it now.

    • 66. Jenny  |  04/29/2011 at 2:01 pm
