One for You, One for Me

Happy Monday everyone!!! Hope it’s been a great day, the weather is nice and toasty here again. Perfect beach weather although I’ve been stuck indoors all day 😦 This change of time has got me all weird lol I think it’s 6am when it’s already like 9. At least the days stay brighter longer so I’m not driving in the dark at 6pm.

Yesterday was a pretty relaxing Sunday with the boyfriend. We stayed in and he studied. I did some flashcards and napped since I lost an hour of sleep 🙂

I’ve never been a cook, I didn’t know how to boil an egg till recently. My meals consisted of cereal for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and my dad would make me chicken for dinner. Cooking for myself is great, making the things that I enjoy make me feel better and be healthier.

I take pride in my oats lol I think I do a bowl of oatmeal justice. I’m not Kath by any means but I know what tastes good.

This was for me:

Oatiesss 🙂

My fabulous pumpkin pie oats covered with graham crackers, peanuts, chocolate granola, and cinnamon raisin pb

https://fitgirlfoodie.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/bearnakedchocolate.jpg?w=160I found Bear Naked Chocolate Granola at Publix and was destined to buy it. Awesome oatmeal topper 😀

After breakfast I went to my boyfriends house and decided to make him some oatmeal too!

Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal topped with chocolate granola, peanuts, hazelnuts, and almond butter. I’ve made him oatmeal a few times which he loved but apparently this one was his favorite 😉 He’s lucky I’m good with oats.

No day at my boyfriend’s place could be complete without some homemade froyo. I’m a bit obsessed but I don’t have an ice cream machine at home so I kinda take advantage 🙂

We decided on making chocolate chip vanilla froyo!

One for him:

And one for me:

I know, mine looks ugly because we ran out of chocolate syrup 😦 After I saw his nutty toppings I got a little jealous and added some to mine 🙂 It was delicious!!

Great day with amazing eats 🙂

A kiss for me and one for you 🙂

And the fro-yo? To die for as always. I don’t own an ice cream maker, but I would LOVE to make something crazy like hazelnut or pumpkin…ohhh the possibilities 😀

An ice cream maker is one of those things I would LOVE to have but is not so high on the “Things I Want to Cook With” list. A dutch oven is at the top. Then maybe ice cream maker. But I would so love to make my own, I could have healthier, less-guilt ice cream rather than the store-bought kind!

Aww thank you! And yes I used an ice cream maker.
      I used a tube of Fage (17 0unces )
      6 T of evaporated Milk
1 cup of splenda baking sugar
      One vanilla bean
and about 1/8 cup of water

      Amazinggggg 😀
You could use 1/2 cup of FF milk too instead of the evaporated milk

You guys are so cute! I don’t have an ice cream maker but I have a vitamix and I can pretty much make ice cream in that! I like to freeze almond milk and then blend it up with cocoa powder, stevia, peanut flour and a dash of salt. It’s so chcolatey and delicious!
