Foodie Weekend

Good morning everyone! Hope it was a fab weekend and no one has a case of the Mondays. My weekend was a relaxing one, stayed in with the boyfriend and made lots of fro-yo 🙂

My IBS is good today but I was extremely bloated all weekend 😦 Thank you all for the kind words, this is just something that I have to take day by day and just live with. Hopefully my next Gastro appt will go better.

Now for some weekend eats!

No oats today 😮 Instead a massive bowl of cereal with cottage cheese, yogurt, fruits, cocoa almonds, and a spoonful of raisin cinnamon pb! I drizzled some Walden Farms caramel syrup on top. Delish 🙂

Since I was with the boyfriend all weekend the eats are always a bit more elaborate than the usual chicken and veggies I make for dinner.

For lunch we decided on making soup.

Chicken Squash Soup

Now you can’t have something salty without following up with dessert so we made fro-yo!

Vanilla Frozen Yogurt with some brownie chunks in the mix topped with chocolate syrup. This was really decadent and only 150 calories for the whole thing 😀

Well I’m off to the gym for my Monday weight training 🙂 Can’t wait to bench press and do leg presses

That bowl of cereal is beautiful! I need to get my hands on a fro-yo maker. Actually, no. Because then I’d eat it 24/7 😉 Monday’s are my off days – so I don’t have a Monday workout routine!

Omgossshhh! that homemade froyo looks so cold and melty… 😛 I hope your gastro appt. goes well too.
I never have a specific routine for working out; I just do whatever I feel like my body needs to work out that day–but cardio is always included in the form of HIIT.

Monday my workout is 6 hours of class and 2-3 hours of meeting. More of a brain workout, but my legs are usually a little sore from my Sunday run 😉
    That froyo looks mighty tasty!

Brownie bites + froyo = bliss!!! I’m glad you’re feeling better. I hope things continue to improve! Feeling like crap is no fun at all, it feels like it’s never going to end. But that’s why we have froyo to make it all better.

I don’t have a Monday workout routine per se, just whatever I feel needs to be done. For instance, tonight is cardio. I have been neglecting it lately!

Monday workouts used to always be chest and back…Today I did legs and a few sets of rows, trying to strengthen to scapula stabilizers more these days! And prevent the thighs from growing together any more while this baby grows 😉

I usually don’t work out on Mondays but I pushed myself to get some cardio in.
And to your response on my page about the pancakes – they are all less than 300 calories so thats good for a breakfast 😉

Made in an ice cream maker! I used Fage (17 oz container), about 1 cup of splenda, 6 T of fat free evaporated milk, and xanthum gum to make it thicker. I’ve used fat free milk and it comes out good too. Cocoa powder makes it extra yummy 🙂

Monday is my cross training day so I usually end up doing the elliptical. Have you thought about trying probiotics? Definitely consult your doctor first, but they have helped my stomach issues a lot.
