Push It To The Limit

Today is not only Humpday but a weight training day!
I could not wait to redeem myself for last week. I LOVE to deadlift and push my body to new limits. I’m excited to soon start a new routine that incorporates squats as well. I unfortunately had to stop doing them because my abdominal muscles just weren’t strong enough, and my form, for loss of a better word sucked.
Breakfast Time!!!
New addition of semi sweet chocolate chips into the mix. They started to melt pretty quickly though ๐
Just a half cup of oats, 1/2 banana, 5 grams flax, topped with my oat honey bar and choco chipssss. Oh and cannot forget the AB!
My workout today was FANTASTIC!
My deadlifts were amazing. I did 5 reps with great form at 135 lbs. Next week I’ll be adding 5 more lbs to each side so 145 it shall be. They recently took out the 2.5 plates at my gym!!! I was so upset. I have 1.25lb plates that my bf generously gave me but I’m not going to be lugging around weights to the gym! Wtffff
Well ok enough ranting. After my deadlifts I did Arnold Presses. No more overhead press for me because I’m starting to cheat and throw out my back. I only did 20’s on each arm but it was a workout! All I had left were leg lifts and crunches. I’m starting to do crunches on the workout ball and I’ve gotten quite good at them. The first time I fell over ๐ฆ embarrassing!!!
I’m pretty excited to start classes soon. I’m only taking two but those are just pre requisites I need. Hopefully all goes well with the nursing program. Crossing fingers to be accepted. If not, then going to work harder for next year. All roads lead up!
My other noms from the day. Had Dannon Light and Fit yogurt with some chocolate graham crackers, blueberries and Nutella! The yogurt was a new flavor I had never tried before.
Yum? Yes it was.
I decided to actually take a pic of my dinner because I don’t want you guys to think that all I eat are oats are yogurt lol I do eat lots of veggies but since my dinner is pretty boring I don’t take pictures of it.
Had a little salad with mushrooms and feta cheese. I lost the cheese when I tossed it and added the dressing. What a waste of calories ๐ฆ
My main dish was yummy chicken!
Seasoned this puppy with some Montreal and threw it on the stove. Used my leftover zucchini, added some onions, and asparagus. Got a little fancy with the Sriracha and my mouth hated me afterward. I need to go light!!! Hot mouth!!
Ok so I’m down to the last tablespoon in my peanut butter jar ๐ฎ Soooo guys opinions…
OIAJ or OOIAJ?!

I feel the same way about my dinners. They’re usually really boring so I don’t even bother with pics. Yours looks so good though! Great strength workout today! ๐

That yogurt combo is really making me drool! Why do I read blogs before bed??
OOIAJ all the way!! You would think the warm oats would be better for melting the pb off the inside walls of the jar, but I think the thickness of the overnights do a MUCH better job! Guess I’ve acquired a new little addiction of sorts! Can’t wait for my next nut butter jar to be empty!

I’m jealous of the weights you’re lifting! You’re strong! I want to get back to where I was and beyond…too bad we can’t be lifting partners :> Some of the women at the gym..I’m like, what are you doing??!
Love the fancy curly q on your dinner plate :>

So glad you had an aqwesome workout!! I love them and like you said, it feels so amazing to push your body to it’s limit. Even if it’s not for any particular reason outside the fact you love the challenge of doing so. ๐

I love adding chocolate (lately Adora Calcium disks) into my oatmeal and waiting until it gets all melty. Mmm…
To answer your question: I’d definitely choose OOIAJ. I’m a sucker for a good bowl of overnight oats. โค
