To Be In Love

Not just with any specific person but with yourself. To love the hot summer days, the car drives with the windows down, the fun meals, long walks, and amazing conversations that you’ll never forget.

What I love about Miami are the breezy winter days that are filled with sun, warmth, and that big yellow sun  just waiting to greet you (for the most part).

Today was really one of those days were I just woke up and was really happy. I tend to sweat the small stuff but life is so short that sometimes we gotta let everything go, smile, and be blessed with what we have.

What I love about my boyfriend.

How he leaves his almost empty nut butter jar for me because he knows how much I love ooiaj. As silly as it seems, it touched me that he remembered and saved it. I love him for that.

I love my breakfast in the morning. My amazing bowl of Fage, yogurt, Kashi, bloobs, caramel dip, and little whipped cream to feel like dessert.

I love my bowl of oatmeal

Yes, there is oatmeal under there I swear!!!

Made with 1/2 cup oats, chocolate silk milk, cocoa powder, flax, and 1/2 of  a banana. I topped it with Cinnamon Oat Crunch Cereal, 1/2 vitatop, chocolate chips, and an almond butter finish.

I love my Wednesday morning weight training consisting of deadlifts, arnold presses, cable crunches, and leg raises. I love how I can lift a 135lb barbell from the floor and do 5 deadlifts. My body is in the best shape of my life and I owe it to weights.

I love my new shadowing experience at an Urgent Care Center where I’m learning about common skin infections, treatments, medications, strep throats, diagnosing, and patient care. I love to learn, and to one day help treat others.

Valentines Day opened my eyes to seeing the positives in my life and being grateful about every opportunity given to me. I’ve come to terms that when one door closes another better one will open. It’s more significant to try and fail then to never  have tried in the first place because trying gives you an advantage to being better prepared next time around.

    I love happiness! I tend to sweat the small stuff, too – so I can totally relate to really enjoying the days where nothing seems to bother you! :) I totally agree with weights being the #1 of getting the results you’re looking for. What is your cardio routine like? Do you do it on certain days?

      I do cardio about 2-3x a week if I can. Usually on the weekends if I’m out with my bf I don’t but mostly tues and thurs are set for cardio. I don’t do like hardcore cardio, just maybe brisk walking or the elliptical, or the bike. Something to work up a sweat but not overtire my muscles ;)

    Today, I made breakfast with my boyfriend. We don’t get to do it too much anymore, but I think there is something so sweet and fun making eggs in the kitchen with him (even if he DOES just watch lol)

    I’m so with you on not sweating the small stuff and just lovin’ life! I loved getting lost on my morning walk this morning; I got to enjoy more time just wandering around and enjoying the warm weather! I’m ready for spring!

    Wow, 135 lbs!? That’s awesome! I’ve never done low rep lifting, but I can do about 15 with an 80 lb bar. High weight low rep scares me, so kudos to you for taking on that challenge!
